Role Overview:
The Cybersecurity Engineer owns the engineering, administration, and optimization of the organization's cybersecurity tools and systems. As part of the blue team, this role focuses on hands-on engineering, maintaining security controls, ensuring tools are properly configured and updated, and proactively collaborating with IT and business units to ensure security systems deliver real operational value.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and maintain security tools/systems including IAM, SIEM, DLP, Endpoint Security, and PAM, focused on engineering and configuration, not just user administration.
· Ensure security tools are updated, patched, and aligned to information security policies.
· Periodically assess the adaptability of security tools to the evolving threat landscape.
· Collaborate with IT teams and business owners to ensure security controls are effective and minimally impactful to core systems.
