Job Description
Customs Operations Specialist
Based in country requirements execute end-to-end customs declarations with first-time-right accuracy, on-time submission, and compliant order closure, ensuring clear status visibility and correct invoice-basis preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and validate order requests (online/manual); guide customers on mandatory documents, timelines, and chase missing data.
- Set up orders in customs tools (e.g., Applite); verify Power of Attorney, commercial agreement, service scope (Importer Security Filing/waiver/declaration), cash/credit terms, cut-offs, and late-filing fee applicability.
- Conduct risk assessment (commodity addressability, country/location acceptance, Denied Party List screening, direct/indirect representation); accept/reject bookings and notify customers.
