Job Description rain all Shipping Clerks on Customs Act requirements and related compliance procedures. Train Shipping Clerks on the enforcement of Customs regulations and the strategies required to ensure compliance by Coal Export parties. Engage with Coal Export parties to identify and address reasons for non-compliance with the Customs Act. Recommend appropriate corrective and preventative actions to Operations Planning Management to ensure overall Customs compliance. Compile and submit weekly, monthly and annual Customs compliance update reports Qualifications
Matric / Grade 12 qualification; Diploma in Logistics or Diploma in Taxation; Customs Clearing and Forwarding Certificate or Tax Certificate; Alternatively: NQF Level 6, 7 or 8 qualification in Accounting, Law, Economics or Logistics; Postgraduate diplomas in Tax, International Trade or Customs will also be considered; +/- 15 years working experience within a large organisation or SARS environment; sound knowledge of shipp...
