Job Description

General Function

The Culinary Arts Instructor - Correctional Programs (Part-time) is responsible for providing quality instruction in lab and lecture in the the correctional setting. The Instructor is responsible for checking emails, preparing inventory and grocery lists for the department head, and class preparation to prepare students for a successful career.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from an institution accredited by a federally recognized institutional accreditor and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline 
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience 
  • Experience teaching in adult education or correctional settings
  • SERV Safe certification or ability to obtain within days of hire
  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a secure, structured environment
