Join Courtenay Elementary as a part-time K-5 Teacher Librarian, dedicating your efforts to advancing literacy and student learning. This temporary role emphasizes fostering essential skills through engaging learning experiences.
As a 0.40 FTE Teacher Librarian, you will support classroom instruction, advocate for digital citizenship, and create dynamic learning opportunities. Your expertise will help students develop critical thinking and communication skills while maintaining the library’s resources, both physical and digital.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement creative literacy initiatives
• Organize and maintain library collections for student engagement
• Collaborate with classroom educators to enhance learning
• Cultivate responsible digital citizenship among students
• Lead and mentor Library Clerks and support staff
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Library Science or equivalent certification
