Job Description

Summary The Office of Investor Education and Assistance is seeking an Attorney Adviser (Counsel) for its investor assistance team. The investor assistance team responds to questions and complaints from individual investors related to securities regulation and SEC operations and interacts with regulated entities on behalf of investors. Responsibilities In this role as a Counsel, you will be responsible for: Evaluating, triaging, and responding to investor complaints and questions; exercising judgment and workload management skills when evaluating and escalating investor complaints. Conducting research, reviewing and analyzing information and documentation related to investor complaints and developing recommendations. Drafting correspondence to investors, regulated SEC entities, and other SEC offices. Working collaboratively to draft guidance on a variety of legal issues, including emerging market events.
