Job Description

The Coordinator Terrestrial Planning (two positions) sits within the Terrestrial Planning Unit of the Planning and Lands Branch, reporting to the Branch Manager. This is a senior coordination role responsible for leading the delivery of terrestrial management planning across the State.

The position leads a team, comprising permanent and fixed term Terrestrial Planners and a permanent Policy Officer.

The Coordinator plays a central part in the statutory management planning system, overseeing the full lifecycle of terrestrial management plans from initiation through to finalisation. The position provides strategic and technical leadership to planning team members, fosters strong cross-team collaboration across all management planning teams (terrestrial, marine and South West Native Title), and maintains productive relationships with key internal stakeholders in regions, corporate executive and other areas of the Department.
