Job Summary

The Prevention and Wellness Coordinator leads and collaborates with other members of the Mental Health and Student Support team in developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive school-based prevention and intervention programs. Key prevention topics include substance misuse, bullying, suicide and violence. This position works to support school teams in integrating trauma-informed, safe, consistent, and positive behavioral support as part of a comprehensive school mental health program supporting and enhancing students' overall success. An important component of this position is establishing connections with community resources to leverage available programs that best support at-risk student populations. The position has a retirement association with the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS).
