We are looking for a compassionate, caring and upbeat Cook for the Catherine Charles Long Term Care Home. The role includes preparing healthy, nutritious meals for residents following Canada’s Healthy Food Guide, managing food inventory, and maintaining food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare a one‑year food menu for a 24/7 operation following Canada’s Healthy Food Guide for First Nations, Inuit and Metis.
• Follow the meal plan as set out by the Nutritionist.
• Request purchase orders for groceries, equipment and vending supplies based on the budget.
• Maintain records of food supplies, stock and usage (including a master grocery list).
• Use food safety and sanitation practices, including temperature checks and prevention of cross‑contamination.
• Keep inventory of all grocery supplies.
