Position Summary
The Compounding Operator is responsible for preparing high-quality batches of fill materials and gelatin solutions. This role follows written batch records, ensures the safe operation of all compounding equipment, and maintains compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Essential Functions
- Competently operate softgel compounding equipment independently.
- Ensure production follows SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
- Provide hands-on training to new encapsulation employees.
- Document activities in logbooks using Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
- Disassemble, clean, assemble, and set up compounding machines and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, raw material tanks, and gelatin tanks.
