Job Description
Become a Community Visitation Assistant at Inuuqatigiit Centre in Ottawa. This role focuses on ensuring safe visitation experiences for Inuit families while promoting community-based support.
As a Community Visitation Assistant, you'll work closely with the Manager of Family Well-Being to support families engaged with Children’s Aid Society. Responsibilities include planning outreach strategies, organizing culturally appropriate activities, and implementing safe spaces for children and their families. Experience in working with Inuit communities is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate effective outreach for families involving CAS
• Plan culturally appropriate access visits for children
• Support community-based programming and events
• Engage with agencies to strengthen family support
• Report and resolve programming issues as needed
