Length of Employment : The successful candidate is appointed as a Coroner by the Chief Coroner.
Responsibilities : The Saskatchewan Coroners Service (SCS) is responsible for the investigation of all sudden, unexpected, and unnatural deaths in the province in accordance with The Coroners Act, 1999. Coroners in Saskatchewan are appointed by the Chief Coroner and serve the citizens of the local community and surrounding areas where the coroner resides. Coronial work involves answering the who, how, when, where, and by what means the deceased died and examining aspects of prevention.
