Job Description
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain applications using COBOL on mainframe systems. Analyze existing code to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. Work on system integration with other applications and platforms. Prepare technical documentation for system changes and enhancements. Support migration and modernization initiatives to newer technologies. Provide production support and resolve incidents in a timely manner. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong proficiency in COBOL programming (experience with JCL, CICS, DB2 is a plus). Hands-on experience with mainframe environments (IBM z/OS or equivalent). Knowledge of batch processing and online transaction processing. Familiarity with relational databases and SQL. Experience with debugging tools and performance tuning.
