The CNC Machinist/Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines in a secure and productive manner, finishing product accurately so as to reduce non‑compliance pieces and working effectively with the Supervisor and other team members to get orders completed and shipped on time. The CNC Machinist/Operator reports to the Plant Supervisor.

Accountabilities

• Interpret production order information, including part descriptions, material grade, documents and drawings.
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to operate machines in a responsible, diligent and effective manner. Update and sign off production orders as required.
• Understand the sequence of operations for a production order.
• Carry out work order instructions to program machines to customer specifications.
• Set up, operate and monitor machines, fixing programs during production runs as required. Use measuring tools, gauges and controls as required.
