Summary This position is located within one of the state offices of the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), State Engineering Division, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The incumbent assists the area/zone or similar engineer and is responsible for providing basic technical guidance and in-the overall planning, design, installation, and maintenance of the engineering phases of soil and water conservation practices. Responsibilities Plans, surveys, designs, and oversees construction of engineering projects on farms and rangeland. Directs and performs site investigations and feasibility studies; field checks, engineering land surveys, and field construction checks for Conservation Practice installations. Plans and conducts pre-bid site showing, approves construction schedules, monitors work for compliance with plans and specifications and contract requirements.
