Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand project requirements
- Take accurate measurements and calculate the size and quantity of materials needed
- Cut, shape, and smooth materials such as wood and fiberglass according to specifications
- Construct window frames, doors, staircases, and building frameworks using raw or pre-fabricated materials
- Install flooring, roofing, and drywall, ensuring proper alignment and leveling
- Build and install furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other wooden structures
- Inspect completed work and perform repairs or maintenance when required
- Erect scaffolding and other temporary construction structures
- Proven experience as a carpenter
