Job Description
The Opportunity - Caretaker (permanent, part‑time)
Position covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement. Job Classification: Caretaker II. The Caretaker II provides maintenance/caretaking services for various buildings on the Olds College campus, ensuring a protected and clean environment for students, staff, and the public.
Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Key Job Functions
- General and specific cleaning of offices, stairways, hallways, meeting rooms, classrooms, washrooms, gyms, lockers, labs, equipment bays, windows, walls, doors, and partitions.
- Operate cleaning equipment: carpet sweepers/vacuums, steam cleaners, auto scrubbers, floor polishers, and floor stripping and laying of finish.
- Clean and service washrooms and locker/shower rooms.
- Remove debris from all disposal bins to outside bins.
