Overview
The Cadet Engineer is responsible for acquiring foundational knowledge and practical exposure to thermal power plant operations and maintenance. This role supports the development of technical, operational, and safety competencies through structured training, supervised hands‑on activities, and cross‑functional learning.
The Cadet Engineer is expected to learn plant systems, operational procedures, maintenance processes, and interdepartmental coordination to prepare for future technical roles in Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Chief Engineering and Projects Office (CEPO), or Chief Asset Management Office (CAMO).
The role provides exposure to key power generation technologies including but not limited to:
- CFB (Circulating Fluidized Bed) coal‑fired boiler systems
- PC (Pulverized Coal) boiler systems
- Diesel‑fired power generation units
