Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Purchaser to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end purchasing, supplier performance, shortages, and planning within an ERP-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Procurement
- Review deficiency lists and forecasts to determine purchasing needs.
- Create, send and confirm purchase orders.
- Conduct RFQs (supplier part numbers, cost, MOQ, lead time, quotation validity).
- Ensure all purchases are placed with approved suppliers and according to valid costing.
- Manage part changes, including alternatives and new wholesalers (with engineering sign-off).
- Plan part deliveries per project and ensure ERP data accuracy.
Supplier Management
- Manage and maintain relationships with the top 10 suppliers.
- Weekly monitoring of supplier delivery performance (including top worst).
