Boilermaker Assistant

Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Minimum of 12 years' experience as a Boilermaker Assistant within the mining industry. Previous underground mining experience will be advantageous. Basic knowledge of welding, fabrication and mechanical repairs. Experience assisting with maintenance of mining equipment and steel structures. Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness for underground work. Basic understanding of the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA). Ability to work shifts and overtime when required. Physically fit and capable of working in underground mining conditions. Roles and Responsibilities Assist qualified Boilermakers with the maintenance, repair and fabrication of underground mining equipment and infrastructure.
