Job Description
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
- Take drink orders from guests or servers accurately and efficiently
- Check guest IDs to verify legal drinking age
- Maintain knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, and recommend pairings
- Manage cash and card transactions, and reconcile the bar till at end of shift
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene responsibly to prevent overservice
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Manage bar inventory, track stock levels, and place orders as needed
- Set up and break down the bar before/after service
- Ensure compliance with alcohol licensing laws and health/safety regulations
- Create an engaging, friendly atmosphere for guests
