Job Description
Backup Admin
· Backup Operations (Majority of time, ~80-90%)
· Manage and monitor backups, primarily using Commvault across hundreds of servers in the Nike SAP environment hosted mainly on Azure, with some AWS presence.
· Respond to failed backup alerts and incidents, often automating resolution of recurring issues to reduce ticket volume.
· Work closely with auditors (internal and external) to ensure compliance, especially around encryption, immutable storage, and regulatory controls.
· Maintain backups in tightly controlled financial tiers to manage cost and risk.
· Support ongoing projects to migrate backup infrastructure and improve processes (e.g., moving some backup workloads to cloud-native SaaS solutions).
