Aviation Safety Program Manager

You will advise the Commanding Officer in establishing and managing the base aviation safety program.

You will maintain aviation safety records and mishap statistics.

You will review, interpret, and disseminate policies and directives relative to aviation safety.

You will review procedures in use or proposed for the operation, maintenance, and testing of aircraft to insure aviation safety standards are met.

You will represent the Command in contacts, meetings, and conferences relative to aviation safety matters in order to promote safety, resolve problems, and exchange information.

You will manage relations with local authorities, the public, and the press.
