About the Role
The Automation Test Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining automated test scripts to validate application functionality across various systems, ensuring alignment with user stories and key features. The role involves collaborating with the test team to convert manual test cases into automated scripts, execute them, and report results, identifying issues and inconsistencies. Troubleshooting automation script failures and maintaining test reliability, integrating automated tests into the development pipeline, and continuously updating and optimizing scripts as applications evolve are key responsibilities. Additionally, the engineer documents automation processes, manages test data, and stays updated on emerging automation tools and best practices to enhance testing effectiveness.
