Position Summary

Perform all functions of Assistant to Resident Engineer on contracts with scopes of work that includes activities such as interstate resurfacing, roadway reconstruction, bridge rehabilitation, and bridge replacement. Perform all functions of Resident Engineer on contracts with scopes of work that includes activities such as rural roadway reconstruction, simple span bridge construction, complex traffic signal betterment, and intersection reconstruction. Inspect construction operations on various maintenance, bridge and traffic contracts and permit work to ensure conformance to contract provisions, contract plans, Standard Specifications, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and other technical standards. Prepare or approve all contract documentation both hand-written or computer generated on-site at construction projects or at the District Office
