Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support the Controller in managing the accounting and financial reporting functions for multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, experience with month-end and year-end processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Manage banking activities, including EFTs, wire payments, and transfers.
- Review accounts payable invoices and oversee payment processing.
- Prepare and submit GST, QST, corporate tax payments, and other government filings.
