Assistant Chef / 2nd Chef

Location: Oakcroft House Care Home, Oakcroft Road, West Byfleet, KT14 6J.

Contract: Permanent, 30 hours per week, 3 x 7.30am – 6pm, alternate weekends.

Salary: £21,200 – £23,540 (depending on experience) plus £1,000 welcome bonus after completion of four weeks of service.

Responsibilities

• Use passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied and nutritional menus in line with residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
• Put forward ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience, helping residents feel at home.
• Train and manage the kitchen team in preparation, cooking and serving of food.
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, and manage orders and deliveries.
• Cater for special events or seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, Christmas parties and birthdays as required.
