ASC/PDA Tutor
Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and patient Tutor to support a Year 7 student with an EHCP who is currently unable to attend school due to significant anxiety associated with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile.
This role requires a tutor who can build trust gradually, adapt their approach to the student's individual needs, and provide a positive, low-pressure learning environment.
Location: DT4 Area
Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Hours: Initially 1 hour per day, Monday-Friday (5 hours per week)
Future Hours: Expected to increase to approximately 10 hours per week
Timings: Flexible
Setting: Home-based initially
About the Student
The student presents with:
ASC with a PDA profile
Dyslexia
Significant anxiety associated with attending school
History of prolonged absence from education
May take time to build trust and engage with new adults
