Position Overview
This position will complement an existing team within HSE focused on providing technical support to the ARO team with respect to subsurface and surface abandonment activities across all Whitecap’s operational areas.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Initial set up of well abandonment, facility decommissioning, and pipeline abandonment projects for daily reporting in Petrosight.
- Identify the scope of new abandonment projects and initiate the appropriate D56 notification process and required third‑party agreements with Surface Land.
- Regulatory reporting for all abandonment operations, including downhole and surface abandonment, facility decommissioning, SCFV/GM submissions into DDS, One Stop and BCER.
- Updating internal systems to reflect equipment status changes following abandonment and decommissioning projects.
