Armed Security Officer: Access Control & Rapid Response

Full-time Protective Services

The purpose of the Armed Security Officer position is to ensure the safety of personnel, property and assets by preventing security breaches, detecting potential risks and responding to incidents.

The main duties are as follows:

• Ensure that only authorised persons are granted access to site
• Conduct patrols within the premises to check for suspicious activity, unlocked doors, or safety hazards
• Conduct general surveillance to identify unusual or risky behaviour
• Respond to emergencies as required – respond to fires, medical emergencies, or security breaches, and initiating evacuation procedures if needed
• Compile incident reports, as required
