Full-time Management & Operations

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Arena Operator to join the Recreation Centres Team on a permanent basis. The position reports to the Recreation Centres Team Leader and is responsible for:

• Providing manual labour duties related to maintaining ice and equipment;
• Ensuring the arenas and recreation facility common areas are maintained in proper and safe condition for public enjoyment;
• Providing exceptional customer service;
• Assisting with crowd control and basic security;
• Operating the ice‑resurfacing machine and power edger to ensure Arenas ice surfaces are maintained, including ice making, removal and maintenance;
• Opening and closing recreation centres as required;
• General plumbing repair and maintenance;
