This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Medical Physics team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust as an apprentice, combining paid employment with university study towards a BSc (Hons) in Healthcare Science (Radiation Engineering). The role is for a Clinical Technologist – Radiotherapy Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding, diagnosing and repair of complex medical equipment.
• Perform quality control procedures and review and interpret quality control results.
• Involved in scheduled maintenance and calibration.
• Order components and spares.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
• Maintain good scientific/engineering practice at all times.
• Manual handling of heavy equipment in confined spaces.
• Use departmental/Trust computer systems for record keeping and communication.
