Job Description
Application Support Engineer (Manufacturing / Automation Systems) Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and enhance Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and system components
- Provide 24/7 Level 1 & Level 2 support to ensure smooth operation of production lines
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams to improve system performance and availability
- Gather user requirements and develop new automation solutions, particularly for Equipment Manager systems
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for system enhancements and processes
- Plan and conduct user training for assigned applications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including productivity enhancements and cost reduction projects
