Position Summary
An Anesthesia Assistant (AA) is a Registered Respiratory Therapist or a Registered Nurse who holds a Certified Clinical Anesthesia Assistant Certification from a CSRT‑accredited school and works under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The AA monitors anesthetized patients, assists in anesthesia administration, and ensures patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery.
