Description
General purpose of job: A typical day is going to start by helping the current laboratory team during the training period (depending on each person, would probably get this completed in 3-6 months). A typical day is going to be working on metal coatings and finishing's. There will be the daily tests that need to be ran and they are all dependent on what results are needed from their customers (tier 1 and OEMs). The types of testing and instruments that are involved are: - Schatz Torque Testing Machine - XFR - HPLC - UV-VIS - Leica 3D Microscope - ICP - AA - Both environmental salt chambers and Corrosion Chambers All of these instruments are going to be in addition to the typical wet chemistry techniques that are needed to be know (pH, Visocisty, Titrations, etc.). When each test result is found, the information is then recorded into Excel spreadsheets, which are then uploaded to their own cloud system.
