Aircraft Technician III

BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE

1. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
2. Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents using hand tools.
3. Calibrate installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
4. Perform scheduled service and maintenance tasks on aircraft avionic system components and report problems related to maintaining, servicing, and inspecting avionic aircraft systems and related aerospace equipment.
5. Perform unscheduled troubleshooting and maintain assigned aircraft systems, components, and related equipment.
6. Perform tasks with technician teams in conducting functional tests of repaired components and systems according to applicable standards and procedures.
