Summary This position is located in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Management Services, Director of Technical Labor and Employee Development, Technical Labor Group. This group provides technical expertise in interpreting ATO contracts, representing ATO in labor issues, and practicing policy and bargaining unit . This Group also serves as the primary ATO point of contact in term and midterm bargaining at the national level. Responsibilities The Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) applies comprehensive knowledge of air traffic control procedures and operations as well as Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs, regulations, and missions to perform complex, specialized air traffic control assignments. The ATCS uses prior experience as a management in a terminal or en route air traffic facility to analyze and evaluate facility operations and processes to identify system implementation issues that support air traffic control systems and operations.
