Aero Design & Development Engineer II

Seeking an Aero Design & Development Engineer II who designs drones. The role focuses on the hands-on design and development of quadcopters and other multi-rotor UAVs, from concept through to a flying prototype. CFD or analysis skills are a bonus, but the main requirement is someone who understands drones and drone design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design quadcopters and other multi-rotor UAVs, including airframe layout and overall configuration.
• Carry out the calculations to confirm the motors are suitable for the application and the propellers can generate the required lift.
• Build, assemble, and iterate physical prototypes.
• Optimise component placement and centre of gravity (CG); integration is handled by the drone team.
• Plan and carry out bench and flight tests, and tune the platform.
