Position Overview

Reporting to the Health Information Management Supervisor, the Registration, Switchboard, & Patient Information (RSPI) Clerk is responsible for patient registration, switchboard operations, finance, and health record functions. The clerk maintains the integrity of the health record by retrieving, preparing, and scanning paper records to the Electronic Clinical Information System, and auditing scanned records. The position also responds to telephone requests for access and disclosure in accordance with departmental, zone and legislative requirements, and interviews and registers patients using Connect Care, collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, financial and other required forms.
