Job Description
Position Summary
The 3D Modeling Engineer is part of the Central Modeling Group under the PO Factory Division and is primarily responsible for designing prosthetic leg components, especially sockets, using 3D CAD tools. In addition to digital design work, the engineer will undergo patient-side training, including 3D scanning and prosthetic fitting, and will be expected to occasionally assist with fieldwork as needed. This dual‑role experience ensures that engineers develop a deep understanding of real patient needs and apply that knowledge to create highly effective and user‑centered prosthetic designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 3D models of prosthetic sockets and components based on patient scan data
- Use 3D CAD software to develop high‑precision, customized prosthetic designs
- Ensure models meet functional, ergonomic, and internal quality standards
- Prepare and submit finalized 3D data for production
