**Position Summary**
The **Educational Sign Language Interpreter** is a trained professional who facilitates communication between Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and others within an educational setting. This position is specifically assigned to support **junior high school students** , providing communication access to classroom instruction, academic discussions, peer interactions, school activities, and related services.
Using **American Sign Language (ASL)** and other appropriate communication methods, the interpreter ensures students have equitable access to learning opportunities and can fully participate in their educational environment. The Educational Sign Language Interpreter collaborates with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and service providers to support student success while maintaining professional interpreting standards and confidentiality.
