About the Job

The Public Transport Authority’s (PTA) Vacation Student Program provides opportunities for current university students to work alongside experienced and skilled engineers who will assist them in developing an understanding of the PTA’s business and enable them to apply their skills in a practical setting.

About the role:

The PTA presents an exciting opportunity for students who are currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics (or equivalent) to join our Vacation Student Program. The twelve-week program will run from Monday 23 November 2026 to Friday 12 February 2027. You will be assigned a workplace supervisor and will complete meaningful work during your placement enabling you to make an active contribution to the PTA.  You will also be part of a networking group which connects you with our current / previous PTA Graduates.
