The Security in the Western Lausanne Area Association was created with the aim of remaining a police force close to the population.

Since 1 January 2008, the 8 municipalities of the Western Lausanne District, namely Bussigny, Chavannes-près-Renens, Crissier, Ecublens, Prilly, Renens, St-Sulpice and Villars-Ste-Croix, have been working together to provide community policing to citizens. To achieve this goal, the Western Lausanne Police works in close collaboration with numerous partners.

• Ensure a visible, preventive, deterrent and repressive presence in public spaces
